Conflict Management: Tips and Tools for Tense Situations

Description: This training will focus on what to do when all forms of conflict arise in the public arena, workplace, or at home, including personal attacks, undesirable behavior and inappropriate actions. Participants will practice immediate and next step responses, and how to prepare for expected or unexpected confrontations. They will also practice healthy and positive responses. A brief overview of emotional intelligence, teamwork, and conflict management (in a positive and protective context of goal attainment) will also be supplied.

By the end of this 3 -hour training participants will be able to: 

  • Identify at least 2 different ways of perceiving conflict.
  • List at least 2 common sources of avoidable conflict in client’s lives.
  • Name at least 3 approaches to reducing conflict.
